Ronan McGee

Ronan joined DMC Global Partners in mid-2016 as a Senior Cost Manager and was promoted to Director in January 2020. He has experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying from project brief development through tender and construction to final account stage across a wide range of industry sectors.

Ronan’s skillset includes providing contract and procurement strategies, project procurement, cost advice, cost control/change management, cost management procedures, contract management, tender/contract documentation, re-instatement valuations/advice, value engineering, risk management, contract management and expert witness/mediation.

Ronan is currently involved in numerous schemes with Clients such as Ardstone Homes, Lioncor Developments, Digital Realty, Jackie Greene Construction Limited, InfraRed Capital, Clyde Real Estate and Grangegorman Development Agency.

What qualities are required of a technically excellent QS?

While the base technical skills in terms of measurement, contract practice etc are key to becoming a successful QS, the best QS’s also have very strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills – this is what separates a ‘Cost Manager’ role from a traditional QS.
