DMC Global Partners Invest, the International PMC investor, project management and development consultancy, specialising in digital infrastructure and AI factories and data centre delivery, today announced its appointment as lead development managers for ‘Project Fusion’, a landmark initiative to deliver up to 500MW of AI-optimised data centres and sovereign AI factories in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
This appointment is backed by FrontierOne AI, the global leader in developing nation-controlled, highly cyber-secure Sovereign AI factories.
Project Fusion is progressing under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB). The programme will be delivered in two phases: a 100MW development valued at approximately $ 1.2 billion, followed by a 400MW expansion, bringing the total investment in excess of $ 4.2 billion.
Alongside the AI factory and data centre development, the programme includes key digital infrastructure such as new subsea cable landing facilities, a high-capacity optical fibre backbone and metro access networks. Collectively, these advancements are expected to create over 1,400 direct jobs and more than 15,000 indirect roles, introducing significant social and economic benefits to the region.
As lead development managers, DMC Global Partners Invest will manage the end-to-end programme, overseeing feasibility, planning and design co-ordination, alongside procurement, programme monitoring and cost management. The firm will work closely with FrontierOne’s global capital partners to manage investment across the delivery lifecycle.
Joseph McCaffrey, CEO of DMC Global Partners, added, “We are honoured to lead Project Fusion with the backing of Frontier One AI. Sovereign AI factories represent a new area of digital infrastructure growth, enabling nations and enterprises to operate secure, locally stored and controlled AI environments. DMC will bring its global development expertise and digital infrastructure experience to ensure this programme is delivered to the highest standards, fully aligned with FrontierOne’s vision and the ambitions of the Andhra Pradesh government.”
Tee Ganbold, CEO of FrontierOne AI, commented, “FrontierOne’s partnership with DMC Global Partners to build in Andhra Pradesh, one of the largest Sovereign AI factories in the world, is tremendously exciting, building on our work with governments globally to develop their national and cyber infrastructure to securely enable the age of AI. We are pleased to appoint DMC to lead the development of Project Fusion and to work alongside the Government of Andhra Pradesh in India to deliver a landmark 500MW AI data centre that sets a new benchmark for security, sovereignty and performance in critical digital infrastructure.”
Project Fusion forms one of the first large-scale Sovereign AI infrastructure programmes globally to be advanced in direct partnership with a state economic development authority, identifying a new model of cross-border collaboration in building secure, locally controlled AI capability for national and industrial resilience.
